Liverpool Acoustic Songwriting Challenge Finalist 2018

Thursday 6th Dec 2018 - My song "What we did (we did for love)" has been chosen to be part of this years 10 songs at the Liverpool Song Writing Challenge 2018.

It's a song i wrote about "John Lennon & Yoko Ono" after going to the Liverpool Museum "Remember Love" exhibition in September.

As you may know it's an annual challenge that Liverpool Acoustic offer songwriters to submit a song based upon a work of art they have seen.

My chosen art was the event posters and was submitted in October.

5 Judges choose the songs and score on lyrics, melody, composition and originality.

This years final includes some wonderful songwriters that i admire and respect so i'm in good company and feel very humbled to get into the top 10.

If you want to go and support me (and the other finalist and Liverpool Acoustic) the the final takes place on Saturday 12th January 2019 at "The Leaf" in Bold Street. - Doors open at 7.30pm and the event starts at 8.00pm.

I'll be performing solo on the song alongside the other finalists

Operation Lightfoot will be performing as well.
