19th Jan 2014 - Have now completed uploading 8 of the 9 issues of "The Garden Party" - Issue 8 has dissappeared from my archives so if anyone out there has kept a copy i would be grateful for a loan to complete the collection - As i said in the blog on "The Garden Party" page - This fanzine was an idea to promote Liverpool bands and get them some publicity as there wasnt much opportunity in those days - It also gave the GP Team an opportunity to meet bands and was a very exciting time for all of us but as always teh music biz can be so frustrating. We achieved what we set out to do - Got BBC 1 to mention each new issue and featured bands that went on to bigger things such as 16 Tambourines, The Icicle Works (Ian McNabb), Cook Da Books, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Personal Column, Come in Tokio, The Persuaders, The Farm etc etc
