Jan 25th 2021 - Songs From My Front Room" # 11 - “A Stranger to your Heart”   

Hi friends, 

Number 11 in my blog sessions. 

I started work on my new album last week although I do have a couple of tracks already mastered and mixed 

The exciting news for me is that my first release on “Fretsore Records” will be released on February 26th 2021 and this is the title track called “Desert Hearts” 

I shot a video when I was in the studio last week and this is being worked on at the moment 

This week’s tune is another new song called”A Stranger to your Heart”. 

The version I started with Jon Lawton last week has only bass/drums/a vocal and an acoustic guitar but it sounds really promising to me. Other songs started in the studio are: 

The Last Train from Baltimore 

Kathleen (a “Townes Van Zandt” song) 

  

This week’s listening at home has a mixed bag of ”The Cure”, “Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons”, “Status Quo”. 

Also the wonderful singer-songwriter “Nanci Griffith” 

TV – Catching up on Series 8 onwards for “Not Going Out”, and a few films which escape my memory at this moment. 

Still reading “Crime and Punishment”
