Transition Town West Kirby is part of a worldwide movement of small communities, each in their own way working for a transition to eliminating dependency on fossil fuels and cutting carbon emissions ; a radical move to a sustainable and just use of our precious Earth’s resources.

When we formed 12 years ago the climate crisis was not yet prominent in main stream consciousness. Today scientific consensus gives us less than 12 years to go before a tipping point precipitates our ecosystem into an uncontrollable catastrophe
