Jan 18th 2021 - Songs From My Front Room" # 10 -  “Moon and June”   

Hi friends, 

Number 10 in my blog sessions. 

I’m excited that at the end of this week 

I start work on my new album. 

I have a Zoom meeting later on today to discuss with my Record Label about the possibility of putting something out sooner than later. It’s very exciting times for me. I’m writing all the time so it’ll give me more options to pick the better songs. 

This week’s tune is a new song called ”Moon and June” – I can hear it as quite a big sound and uptempo with miserable lyrics lol. 

  

This week’s listening has been mainly the Wonderful Kelly Willis who is new to me but massive early 90’s. Just goes to show that there are some undiscovered gems out there waiting to be found. I also been playing early 70’s Folk band “Trees” and their album “On The Shore”. They have a Box set just released and boy is it hard to track down now at a reasonable price 

Plus for my radio show on a Sunday I had a great time sourcing Lennon-McCartney songs in an American vein 

TV – Nicola Walker one of my favourite TV Actresses did a series called “The Split” and we have binged watched 2 Series on the run and nothing else
